The Uganda Projects goal is to prove the efficacy of WHO multi-modal strategy on Hand hygiene compliance in 8 HCFs of East Uganda (in district of Mbale, Tororo, Kumi and Busia)

Background

Hand hygiene related illnesses are included in the top five causes of mortality in children under 5 years in South Africa. The purpose of the study is to determine whether an Hand hygiene intervention can reduce related diseases among 4–5-year-old preschool children and to improve hygiene practices in these children, their caregivers and their parents.
